The project is funded with co-financing by the Ministry of Economy per a Call – Let’s Build Together (EIB). The funds of the Ministry of Economy are 55,064,167.76 RSD , VAT excluded (50%), and the amount of 77,089,834.86 RSD, VAT included, is funded by the City of Niš.

The project envisaged and has implemented construction of six streets with sidewalks and horizontal and vertical signaling for a total length of 2,317 m.

Improvement of the water supply system of villages Knežica, Perutina, Ćurlina and Belotinac -3. phaze

The third phase of the project is related to the construction of primary and secondary water supply network in the villages of Ćurlina, Knežica and Perutina, as well as the construction of a pumping station in Perutina.

By the Contract on Regulation of Water Supply of villages Knežica, Perutina, Ćurlina and Belotinac – the City of Niš assumed the obligation (Article 5 of the Contract) to build a secondary water supply network in the villages Knežica and Ćurlina, as well as to build a water supply network in the village of Perutina.

The duties of the City of Niš will be implemented in five sub-phases:

1. Phase 1 – Construction of the main line towards Knežica and Ćurlina in the length of 715m and part of the line in the direction of Ćurlina in the length of 120m.
2. Phase 2 – Construction of a water supply network in the village of Ćurlina
3. Phase 3 – Construction of a water supply network in the village of Knežica
4. Phase 4 – Construction of a pumping station in Perutina
5. Phase 5 – Construction of a water supply network in the village of Perutina

Implementation in 2019, schedules the sub-phase 1 – Construction of the main line towards Knežica and Ćurlina in the length of 715m and part of the lines in the direction of Ćurlina in the length of 120m (estimated values ​​8.234.189,33 RSD , VAT excluded, and 9.881.027,19 RSD, VAT included).

Other sub-phases (2-5) are scheduled for implementation in 2020 and 2021.

The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia are financing the development of project documentation (contract value: € 805,000.00).

Construction of wastewater treatment plant and additional sludge treatment and completion of works on the collector network of the city (14.1km) with reconstruction of the collector in Niš, expansion of the collector network (23.0km) and construction of a drinking water treatment plant on Mediana – treatment of filter wash water

The project consists of six components:

In the Amphitheatre toilet facilities were refurbished and new amenities were provided. The stage revitalized, ie the wall cladding was replaced and acoustic panels were installed instead of the wooden paneling, the stage ceiling was repaired from cracks and bumps, as well as the stage floor, which was leveled and covered with a rubber floor covering.

Across the section of the park, just above the summer stage, walkways were formed of granite cube and a new children’s and park mobiles were installed.

The Sports Complex in the entrenchement of the Fortress now consists of a basketball court, four 3×3 basketball courts, a handball court and a long jump track at the end of which is a sand pool. All courts are with concrete granstands that have been completely repaired, repaired, statically stable, safe and ready to receive sports fans. Holes, humps and cracks were repaired on the grounds, all courts were paved and coated with high quality cast tartan.

Construction of a shooting range for the needs of a regional school shooting sport

1. Reconstruction and adaptation of part of the ground floor of the building,
2. Reconstruction of the existing structure on the ground floor and construction up to the level of completion of the building without equipping for special recreation purposes,

Auxiliary premises are: entrance hall, lift platform for people with mobility difficulties, sanitary block for people with special needs, women’s and men’s locker room, weapons and ammunition warehouse, shooter’ club with kitchenette and official premises.

Part of the project are toilets and a sun terrace that serve the outdoor pools, which greatly enhances the functionality of the facility and contributes to the rehabilitation and upgrading of SC “Čair” facilities.

The newly designed facade follows the contemporary form of the building, where the structural facade and decorative lighting give an extraordinary impression. Slanted “slots” create the illusion of a bullet trajectory that reflects the firing range space. The game of materialization on the facade was accompanied by illumination, which has programmed ignition and shut-down intervals, as well as discoloration.

The implementation of this project will enable the City of Niš to host many International sports competitions and national championships in all categories, as a rule of the World Federation, which would make the City of Niš recognized as a city of sports in Serbia and the region.

Rehabilitation, reconstruction and improvement of energy efficiency in Elementary school "Vožd Karadjordje" in Niš

Project of Niška Banja public park maintenance

The project envisages the current maintenance of a public park in Niška Banja (a park with a square between the Zelengora Stationary and the Old Bath). The goal is to accentuate cultural, historical and natural resources by opening the line of sight and landscaping.

It is planned to replace and install a new tiling on the plateau around the garden fountains- pools, between the Zelengora Stationary and the Old Bath. The tiling is made of concrete slabs similar to the existing ones in the park, with the formation of pedestrian-tailored paths that also contribute to the playfulness of the parterre..

Sufficient number of benches are set up along the footpaths. Existing broken and damaged benches are replaced with new ones in order to achieve uniformity. The free areas are arranged in accordance with the existing ones and planted with grass and ornamental shrubs.

The fountain, as the central motif of the space, is emphasized by the parterre, but also by the appropriate automatics in order to achieve the designed effects. It is also envisaged to replace the old lighting and cables on the plateau.

Extension of special classrooms and gyms in Elementary school "Miroslav Antić"

Construction work on the upgrade of the Elementary school “Miroslav Antić” began in 2012, continued in 2016 and is now coming to its end. The works relate to the construction of a complete new part of the school which is connected with the old part of the building by a warm connection. The new part of the school, with its own entrance, consists of several special classrooms connected by a unique hallway with a newly built gym. In addition to all of the above works, there are additional works completed in 2018 that concerned the installation of thermal insulation on the facade, floors and ceilings as improvements to the energy efficiency of the facility.

After the delay in works, it is expected that the construction will be completed through a change in the manner of realization of mechanical installations in the facility.

Reconstruction of facades in the City of Niš - 2. phase

The reconstruction includes „Djoka Jovanović Legacy“ building and the Stevan Sremac National Library – a new part of the building. The buildings are under the protection of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of Niš.

„Djoka Jovanović Legacy“ is a multy floor building built in the early 20th century in the city center. The building is the property of the City of Niš and is the seat of the City Attorney.

The Stevan Sremac National Library building is one of the oldest cultural institutions in the city and the first public library in Southern Serbia. Phase I – Lot I – reconstructed part of the former municipal administration building hosting the National Library since 1959. Lot II – Phase I covers the part of the building that was built at the end of the 20th century and is an integral part of the library complex.

The restoration and conservation works are being carried out, the rehabilitation of the facilities and the current maintenance according to the condition of the buildings, as well as the installation of decorative lighting on the „Djoka Jovanović Legacy” building.

Econstruction of the science -technology park building in Niš

The construction of the Science Technology Park building is financed by the funds of the Republic of Serbia, and the Contract on the implementation and funding of the project “Construction of the Science Technology Park in Niš“ signed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Public Investment Management Office, the Cabinet of the Minister of Innovation and Technological Development and the City of Niš, stipulates the following obligations of the City of
Niš:

1. Provides administrative, professional and technical support to all signatories to this Contract
2. Supervises the Project for Execution (Main Design) (PZI)
3. Provides the Main Fire Protection Design
4. Obtains the approval of the technical documentation by the regional unit of the state administration body in charge of fire protection
5. Funds and provides for the development of preventive measures action plans, and provides a safety coordinator at the execution stage
6. Funds and provides technical inspection of the facility and transformer substation
7. Funds and builds the missing infrastructure in accordance with the location
   conditions
8. Funds and provides the design supervision over the project implementation

The City of Niš fulfilled all its due obligations (items 2,3 and 4), and duly fulfills its
current obligations related to the construction of the facility dynamics (items 1, 5,6,7 and 8) and duly submits reports to the competent Ministry.

Construction of the missing infrastructure includes the construction of the missing
electricity infrastructure and water and sewage infrastructure.

For the construction of the missing electricity infrastructure, a public procurement
procedure is underway to select a contractor. The expected completion date for these works is March 2020.

For the construction of the missing water and sewage infrastructure, the process of
possession of site and commencement of works of the contractor is underway. The expected completion date for these works is March 2020.

Reconstruction of the heat substations in the pool and equipment room facility in the complex of Čair sport-recreation center in Niš

The 2020 plan is to terminate the existing „Čair“ boiler room that uses crude oil, which is an uneconomic and exceptional environmental pollutant, and to connect its customers to the new modern „Clinical Center“ boiler room that uses economically and environmentally friendly natural gas.

Reconstruction and adaptation of existing thermal substations in the swimming pool facility and equipment room at SRC “Čair” in Niš is due to the change of heating regime (pressure and temperature) from the previous direct system from the existing “Čair” boiler room to the indirect system from the new “Clinical Center” boiler room.

A public procurement procedure is underway to select a contractor.
