Xingy is building a factory in Niš, 1,000 new jobs from February

Accompanied by the Chinese Ambassador, the Minister of Economy and the Mayor of Niš, Ana Brnabić, the Prime Minister, visited the works on the construction of a “Xingy” factory for the car lights manufacturing from China, an investment worth 60 million euros, where new 1,000 jobs will be opened from February next year.

Brnabić stated that the factory is important for Niš and the whole Serbia, and that the construction will be completed in February next year.

She also added that the Chinese company “Xingy” is one of the largest and most successful companies for the production of lights in the automotive industry, and that this is its step forward to Europe.

“Chinese companies are increasingly looking at Serbia as the best possible destination for investments in Europe, and as a starting point to export from Serbia to the European market,” Brnabić told reporters.

According to her, the investment is worth 60 million euros, and the company will employ about 1,000 people in the first phase.

Brnabić stressed: “We are creating 1,000 new jobs from February next year, and the export will mainly be directed to the countries like Germany, France, Slovakia… Then you can imagine how much this will contribute to the growth of the economy, GDP and the “blood picture” of Niš.

She especially pointed out that the factory, as well as the Science and Technology Park opened in Niš, are being built by a domestic company, adding that it also shows how much and how Serbia is growing, that construction companies have jobs, secured future, security to pay their workers well and on time…

The Prime Minister added that the same domestic construction company, “Konstruktor”, is also building a plant of the Chinese “Mint” in Loznica, which also recommended Serbia to “Xingy”, stating that the references exchanged among the companies are better than anything we can do ourselves.

She also expressed gratitude to the team of the President of the Republic, which, she says, fights for every investment.

The Chinese investor has committed to invest 7.5 million euros for land, 32.7 million euros for the construction of facilities and 19.6 million euros for the new equipment by the end of 2023.

In Nis, they will produce LED headlights for cars that are a part of advanced technology, and the realization of the investment is monitored by the Office for Local Economic Development and Projects of the City of Niš.
